Class Descriptions

Group Classes are included in club membership ($75/month or $15/class). Students learn new tactics and skills in group classes, as well as play games and spar in a controlled environment. Students are encouraged to attend at least two times per week if possible.

Bladework class emphasizes actions with the foil. We'll play games and introduce drills each time to help students strengthen their foundations. Fencers of all experience levels are encouraged to attend.

Sparring is a bouting class where even beginning fencers can attend. We will focus on strategies and practice drills that will improve our 'strip presence.' Students may choose to use epees or foils.

Footwork! classes focus on movement. Options are provided for low and hi-level intensity. This class is for fencers of all levels who would like to get their legs in shape.

Open Fencing is a time to practice what you've learned in a less-controlled environment. Open fencing can be done "on the box" -- that is, with an electric scoring machine.

Private Lessons: $20 for a 15-20 minute lesson (non-members also pay floor fees). A pack of ten lessons may also be purchased for $185. Private lessons allow students to hone their technique with one-on-one instruction. Lessons must be scheduled ahead of time, usually during "Open Fencing."

Floor Fee for Non-Members: $10
