Division I events require an A, B, or C rating within the USFA. Division II events require a C, D, E, or Unclassified rating. Division III events are only open to fencers with a rating of D, E, or Unclassified.
All fencers must be 13 years old as of Jan 1, 2008 to enter a competition, except in the following circumstances: - To participate in a Veteran event, a fencer must be born in 1968 or earlier. - Youth 14 events require a birthday between 1993-1996. - Youth 12 events require a birthday between 1995-1998. - Youth 10 events require a birthday between 1997-2000. - Cadet events require a birthday between 1991-1994. - Junior events require a birthday between 1989-1994.
Scholastic Fencing is for High School and Middle School
Fencers. Events are not USFA sanctioned, but athletes must show proof
of USFA membership |
