U.S. Fencing (or USFA) is the organizing body for sport fencing in the United States. At this site you will find news and updates related to fencing on a national scale. You will also find schedules for national and regional events. U.S. Fencing establishes the qualifying path to the Olympics.

Southern California Division, USFA - www.socalfence.org

Presidio Fencing Club is a member of the Southern California Division of U.S. Fencing. Here you will find a schedule of events for all competitions in Southern California.

Pacific Coast Section of the USFA - www.pcsfencing.com

The Pacific Coast Section is made up of fencing divisions (like the Southern CA division) in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. In order to compete in some national events, fencers must qualify through a tournament sponsored by their section (i.e. Pacific Coast Championships in May, or a Super Youth Circuit).

Based in San Luis Obispo, the CCFF is a non-profit organization with the goal of spreading the sport of fencing to all communities of California's Central Coast. They sometimes are able to provide scholarships to national competitions and training camps. If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Eric McDonald, head coach of Cal Poly SLO fencing and the San Luis Highlanders.

UCSB has a fencing club, established through Rec Sports. Many UCSB students are also Presidio Fencers.

One of Santa Barbara's top athletic training centers. They're practically next door to Presidio Fencing Club. Check them out for information on athletic cross-training and more.

Modern Pentathlon - http://www.uspentathlon.org/

Modern Pentathlon is an Olympic sport made up of 5 separate events: running, shooting, swimming, horseback riding, and fencing. Competitors compete in all events. Santa Barbara residents interested in modern pentathlon should check out the information on the link above. We would be happy to provide fencing instruction, and help organize practices in the other events, to interested pentathletes.
